This album and guest book looked right at home in a New Year’s Eve wedding at Lake Tahoe’s historic CalNeva State Room.

My customer, a fan of the band The Cruxshadows, wanted to commemorate the retirement of a band member. Together, we designed this album for her to collect ephemera from her career with the group. He presented the album during the groups appearance at DragonCon 2007 and sent this video of the event (presentation starts about 2 minutes in).

The spine is titled with gold foil. The group logo is laser-cut and pressed into to cover leather.

This customer selected chestnut goatskin for a wedding album to be given as a gift to the bride and groom. 30 pages with interleaves of glassine, 8 x 9.75 inches. A label with gold initials and marbled endpapers finish this simple and elegant gift.

Below: Capacity added at the spine so the album closes properly one the photos are added.

This customer collects first issue stamps affixed to envelopes illustrated to match the issue. I created a pair of leather albums for the collection. The heavy pages are scored to allow them to open flat. To protect the collection I fashioned mylar sleaves for each page. The covers are blind debossed with a title for the collection and the issue date.

This return customer from England sent pre-made pages to be bound as a baby book.

Thank you SO much. You have truly produced a beautiful work of art. Thank you, thank you. Regards Sara

This San Francisco wedding photographer provided her own unique cloth for this set of albums. I was able to use the non-traditional materials to create the books as she envisioned.

The ability to change content at any time and their ability to accept varying amounts of pages are just two. Sometimes a customer will want these advantages but will also require a very polished look. This requires hiding the screw heads. Here's one option, creating a flap that closes over the heads to hide them.

This flap has a steel wire in the edge and magnets set in the boards to keep the flaps closed over the screws until they are specifically opened. ")

These images show the decorative character and function of my TrueStep album design. Deckled pages and deckled interleave pages combined with a stepped page binding create a unique fore-edge detailing. Individually hinged pages maintain easy page turning while heavy pages provide excellent support for photographs.

This customer specified size, color, page count and page material. Dreaming Mind delivers the heirloom results with a slipcase.

White on white, unique detailing at the spine.
